Polder Pathways

Where the New Land meets the Past

Guided Tour · Full‑day

Born after the war, Flevoland carries stories from a time before it existed. As the New Land took shape, aircraft wreckage surfaced from the former seabed, bringing to light the stories of lost airmen and the people whose lives became intertwined with theirs.

This guided journey leads you through the places where these stories unfolded, revealing how a new landscape became forever linked to airmen who never saw it emerge.

Guided Tour · Half‑day

Before Flevoland became the New Land, this was the Southern Sea, a landscape shaped by storms, isolation and survival. During the Second World War, aircraft flew over these waters. Some returned home, while others disappeared in the waves.

This guided journey leads you through places connected to these stories, revealing how the memory of lost airmen endures in a landscape once defined by the sea.
